News: Closing day clean-up

Hello everyone,
We hope you've all enjoyed these extra days at the pool this summer,
but unfortunately the time has come to start cleaning up and putting
things away.
This weekend will be the last weekend the pool is open, and Monday
afternoon we will close for the season.
We are looking for volunteers to help with the clean-up. If you plan
on coming to the pool on Monday around 4pm - or if you have a bit of
time to spare Monday afternoon - please consider helping us make sure
everything gets put away (and will be easy to find next summer).
To volunteer please contact Marc by e-mail
(maintenance@piscinevaloispool.ca) and let him know when you'll be
available and for how long.

News: Message from the President

Hello everyone,
As most of you already know it is with great pleasure that we are able to open the pool this week during the heat wave. It is our way to say thank you for being such valuable members of the Valois Pool community. We have had a fantastic summer and are happy that it is not completely over.
It is important to note that although we are open this week things may be a little different. School has started for most of the staff members and we are open with limited staff at certain times during the day. We thank you for your comprehension when the baby pool is closed or if there is no adult swim. We are trying our best to accomodate you, the membership but are sometimes functionning in a limited capacity.
I thank you again for your understanding, patience and dedication to Valois pool.

News: Pool will be OPEN this week during the heat wave

Due to the forecast high temperatures next week we're happy to announce the pool will be open from 4pm until 7pm from Monday to Friday (the pool will open as planned for the long weekend).

July 18th
The meets continue with our athletes giving their strongest performances yet. On the 13th of July we lost our water-polo match against Beaurepaire; on the 14th of July we won the swim meet against Cedar Park; on the 17th of July (see photos section) we lost the water-polo games against Beaconsfield Heights; and finally on the 18th of July we won the diving match against Beaurepaire.
July 19th

July 20 - Water-polo at Viking
July 21 - Swimming at Viking
July 23 - Guppies swim meet at Valois at 10am
July 23 - Masters swim meet at Lakeside ($10 fee)
July 25 - Diving vs. WAC (at Valois)
Show off your talents: participate in the Valois Idol: Valois' Got Talent Show on the evening of July 22nd. For a small contribution of only 50 cents you too could be famous! As a lifeguard for more information.
The week of July 26 is Feed the lifeguards week! Find out what they like to eat in the Lifeguards section and thank them for everything they do!
The Snack Shack canteen invites you to bring your re-usable coffee mug and water bottles to the pool. This will considerably reduce the waste generated by all the cups they hand-out and cut back on the amount of garbage we generate. Please take minute when leaving the house to grab your mugs and bottles - Thanks!

News: Pub Night Postponed

Because of the rain we're postponing tonight's pub night until Sunday July 11th. Dinner starts at 5:30pm and the pool will close at 6:30pm when the band starts playing.
Tickets are still on sale at the Snack Shack; but if you already have a ticket and can't make it on Sunday please take your ticket to the Snack Shack for a full refund.

News: We're looking for a fridge

If you have an old fridge the pool can use to keep drinks cold (no freezer necessary, could even be a vending machine) we'd really appreciate it - and so would all the members who can enjoy a nice cold beverage this summer!
